Madison – Senator Glenn Grothman (R–West Bend) and State Representative Jeff Wood (R-Chippewa Falls) were joined today by Senate Majority Leader Dale Schultz and Assembly Speaker John Gard to introduce a new proposed constitutional amendment that will limit government spending. “After generations of trying to reign in out-of-control taxes, it is time to let the people decide on a new approach,” said Grothman, co-author of the amendment.
REIGN IN OUT-OF-CONTROL TAXES? Are you kidding me? Are we perhaps consideration a coronation for the socially-challenged authors of this bill? Or maybe they're suggesting that a monarchy is the only way to take control of big government. I really don't know, but I hope that more care was taken in writing the new proposal than today's press release. And no, little man, I'm not going to explain the error. You're just going to have to puzzle it out for yourself.
It could be that I'm just bitter, but another explanation might be that you people aren't doing a very good job. It might just be that a minor spelling error is a sign of a much larger problem in the Wisconsin Legislature. Does it tell you anything? An impartial observer might conclude that Wisconsin government might not be a meritocracy. Combine this release with the years of mishandling of the TABOR-TPA issue by Republicans and you might have to wonder if this people can pull it together and manage a coherent campaign and strategy.
This Legislature is funny, like-a-clown funny. If I found it impressive, I would most certainly tell you so. Sadly, that doesn't happen as often as I would like. But don't blame me for that. I'm just one of the few guys telling you the truth. You won't get that kind of value from the sycophants and lobbyists. And good luck with TPA or PTA or whatever you decide to call it. You should have it in brilliant shape by now.
The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children; and I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Yeah... I mean, if you just put your name to all your harsh criticism then you could get fired and that's when you could really improve the legislature.
A pseudonymous blog allows for harsh criticism from within that would otherwise not be heard.
I mean, why do we have whistleblower laws? If the person is really speaking the truth then why can't they just fend for themselves against whatever multimillion dollar monstrosity they're pointing their finger at... right?
